The Challenge

Suicide is currently the most common cause of death among young people. To help recognize suicidal thoughts in others, 113 Suicide Prevention developed an online training for young people. We produced the campaign 'Ik ben er nog', the impact stories, interactive video, photography, and animation.

For the commercial, we wanted to work with real people who have had suicidal thoughts in the past. It proved to be a challenge, but after a long search, we found Jamie, Jonneke, and Joost. In the video, they are open about their past feelings. The goal is to give hope to people in similar situations and encourage them to open up to their loved ones.

The Result

The campaign video was very well received on social media and had more than 500.000 plays. Joost, Jonneke, and Jamie received support from all corners of society. Trade media such as Fonk, Marketing Tribune, Screenforce, and Emerce highlighted the campaign. Additionally, Jonneke, one of the main participants, was interviewed by Hart van Nederland following the campaign. That particular broadcast was viewed by around 500,000 viewers.
